Guidelines for WWOOF Hosts

WWOOFis an exchange that relies on respect and trust. In return for your WWOOF volunteers assistance on your organic/biological property, you provide adequate meals and clean, dry accommodation. The exchange is based on half a day's help which can range from 4-6 hours depending on the situation. Specifics such as the length of stay and any other important details should be arranged when the WWOOFer initially contacts you. It is often helpful to talk to the WWOOFer by telephone to determine their suitability to your situation. Please ensure that your Host listing reflects who your are and what you are doing on your property. This will help to attract and connect with like minded WWOOF volunteers. Many WWOOFers a young people wanting to learn about life on an organic property. They are not necessarily experienced but are willing to lend a helping hand. WWOOFers are not free labor and should not take the place of paid workers.  WWOOF is voluntary and as a host you have the right to decline accommodation at your discretion.

WWOOF is an exchange that relies on respect and trust. In return for staying on your WWOOF Hosts property you help with the daily farming and lifestyle chores. The exchange is based on half a day's help which can range from 4-6 hours depending on the situation. Specifics such as the length of stay and any other important details should be arranged when you initially contact  your Host. It is often helpful to talk to the Host by telephone to determine if they are compatible. Please ensure that your WWOOF profile reflects who you are what you are interested in. This will help to connect with like minded Hosts. WWOOF Volunteers do not need to be experienced but you do need to be open minded and willing learn and leaned a helping hand. WWOOF Hosts are not free holiday places. WWOOF is voluntary and as a WWOOF volunteer you have the right to leave if you find the situation is not suitable. Please keep and open mind and be respectful of the often different cultural, religious , political and lifestyles, to what you are used to.  If you have made arrangements to stay on a hosts property and then find that you can not make it please inform your host as soon as possible. Don't just not arrive as this causes concern for your safety.
